We went to Maui in October 2021. It's so confusing traveling during Covid. At the time, we had to fill out an online health form at travel.hawaii.gov. We filled out the form but didn't get a QR code. When we arrived at SFO, United had set up an area to verify the code to speed up arrival at the airport in Maui. My husband forgot his password and had to re-enter all his information. It was quite stressful. Getting the wristband did save us waiting in line at the Maui airport so it was worth it.
We were seated in United's Economy Plus section. On the 777-200, the pitch is 34 inches vs 31 inches in economy and the width is 18 inches (same in Economy Plus and Economy).
The extra 3 inches made for a more comfortable ride.
On our return flight, we were in First Class with lie-flat seats. It wasn't that much more than Economy Plus.
It was a 757 and the seating configuration is 2-2. Definitely not as luxurious as a wide-body but being able to lie down was worth it
