Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge

TravelingFoodie2

Within the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge is a paved trail that winds along the ocean. There are benches along the trail. There's a statue of a tufted puffin that is made of recycled material. Unfortunately, no real puffins were sighted.

The views of the beach are beautiful.

The rocks offshore are home to 13 species of seabirds, with 1.2 million birds nesting in the national refuge.

Bring binoculars so you can see the birds up close.
