Mosaic Canyon Hike

The trailhead for the Mosaic Canyon is a short drive from the Stovepipe Wells Campground. You can pick up a detailed map from the Ranger Station.

Mosaic Canyon Hike details:

Out & Back

Distance: 4 mi

Elevation: 1200 feet

Time: 2 hours

Ease: moderate

Access: Drive on dirt road 2.3 miles to parking lot. Easily passable with sedan. Even saw an RV navigate the dirt road.

Parking: large lot

The start of the trail is wide and flat.

There are some narrow areas.

The first 2.6 miles is easy with the exception of a few areas where you had to climb up rock piles. At 2.6 miles, you will reach a much larger rocklike that is difficult to pass.

There is an area next to it where you can continue on the trail. It was too much for me but my husband continued for another 30 minutes. He thought there were beautiful views at the end.
