Just north of Brookings is the Samuel Boardman State Scenic Corridor. We stopped at Lone Rock to hike to Cape Ferrelo Viewpoint.

From the parking lot, look for the placard and follow the trail.
We were supposed to cross the stream but couldn't find where to cross so we backtracked and took the beach route. From the beach, there was a trail that led to Cape Ferrelo Viewpoint.
On the way back, we found where we were supposed to cross the stream. The log bridge was incomplete.
