We had planned to eat at Gorditas Durango but Google Maps sent us to La Unica, located just across the street. La Unica is at Ave. 20 de Noviembre, 220, a 7-minute walk from the Hotel Gobernador.

There is a small dine-in area.

Complimentary chicharron.

Chorizo--MX$70 ($3.50) for 5. I ordered the carnitas and chorizo and the tacos were delicious. The chorizo was sautéed chicharron.

Flautas--MX$55 ($2.70). There were 7 flautas, each tightly rolled and fried until crispy. The flautas were good. It came with rice, which was not good (had an off taste) and salad (which we didn't eat for fear of contaminated lettuce).

Quesadilla--MX$35 ($1.70). The quesadilla was lightly fried so there wasn't much of a crisp to it.

ree

Birria de res--MX$110 ($5.50). This had a nice broth.
