En Route to Gold Beach

As we drove north towards Gold Beach, our next stop was Pistol River State Scenic Viewpoint. We stopped and had lunch on the beach.

Continuing north, we found Cape Sebastian Viewpoint. On a clear day, you can see 50 miles south to Crescent City. From here, you can take a 2.7 mile, 1.5 hr hike..

After Cape Sebastian, we saw a sign for Kissing Rock. We walked around the rock but couldn't figure out how it got it's name.
