Cocina Azul specializes in New Mexican cuisine. They have 3 locations in Albuquerque and one was located just 5 minutes from Old Town. Address is 1134 Mountain Road NW.
Check in on Yelp to get free chips and salsa. We got our order to go and got a big bag of chips.

One of their specialties is Carne Adovado Plate--$14.95. Pork is brined for 24 hours then marinated in Frank Sr.'s red chile sauce for 48 hours. This was tender, flavorful and spicy.

Another of their specialty is Evelyn's Bowl of Pozole--$9.50. Traditional New Mexico broth, cooked with posole (New Mexican corn), dried New Mexican red chile, diced pork. It was served with a sopapilla--fried quick bread. I loved the posole--the broth was delicious.
