Dinner in Brookings was at Black Trumpet Bistro, located at 625 Chetco Avenue. They have indoor and outdoor seating.
Focaccia was served when we sat down.
Steamed Clams Italiano (white wine, garlic, fresh oregano and crushed red pepper)--$15. This was really good. The wine sauce was delicious and even though it came with 2 slices of bread, we asked for extra focaccia to sop up the juice.
Soup of the Day--Truffle Mushroom. I added a cup of it to my meal for $3. The soup was delicious.
Chicken Marsala--$19. The chicken was very tender and sautéed with shallots, garlic, mushrooms, Marsala wine and butter. It was served over pasta and roasted vegetables. This was really good.
Beef Stroganoff--$19. Tender strips of beef, goat cheese and mushrooms tossed with house made Papardelle. The beef was seared and so tender. The stroganoff was good but the goat cheese was an odd addition.
