Badwater Basin, at 282 feet below sea level, is the lowest point in North America. It is located 17 miles south of Furnace Creek, on Badwater Road.
There is a large parking lot and pit toilets.

Look up from the parking lot to see the Sea Level sign in the hills.

You can walk on a flat path out to the salt field. Part of the way is ADA accessible.

Near the parking lot, you'll see the small Badwater Pool.
