Albuquerque

Entering Albuquerque from the west, you'll find several old motels on Central Ave. The Westward Ho is marked by a neon green saguaro.

A mile from the Westward Ho, you'll find Mac's La Sierra Coffee Shop. A bull hawks their specialty--"steak in the rough."

Nearby, a sign indicates that you're still on Route 66.

Cross the Rio Grande.

After the Rio Grande, you'll find more motels, including the El Vado Motel, dating from 1937.

and the El Don Motel with the cowboy on a horse less than a block away.
